The Lighthouse and Maritime Museum at the northern end of Anastasia Island is a fantastic mix of stunning scenery and the area’s rich history. The lighthouse offers panoramic views of the surrounding area, and the museum provides insights into the fascinating maritime history of the region.

Another place that combines history and impressive man-made sites is the Fort Matanzas National Monument. Located on Rattlesnake Island, which is part of the Anastasia Island complex, Fort Matanzas is a historic Spanish fort that played a role in the defense of St. Augustine during the 18th century.
