St. Augustine is the country’s oldest city, so you can imagine it has its fair share of ghost stories and scary locations, making it perfect for a frightfully good Halloween. If you’re in the midst of building one of our St. Augustine FL homes, or are considering purchasing one, check out what’s going on this October to get you into the ghoulish spirit
Talking of spirits, whether you believe in the ghostly kind or prefer your spirits with a twist of orange, don’t miss the Ghost With the Most Cocktail Tour. With a mostly-alive host, you can visit four local venues and experience some ghostly shenanigans while also imbibing some devilishly good cocktails to keep up the courage. Chilling stories and a few jumpy moments are all included in this fully guided exploration of St. Augustine. Tour starts at 7 pm on Halloween, October 31, 2023 and tickets are $85 per person.
If you’ve ever watched one of the ghost hunter shows and wanted to get in on the action, the Paranormal Investigation Tour takes place every Friday and Saturday, October 13 through November 4, 2023. This is particularly for ghost-hunting history buffs, because you get to tour the grounds of the Castillo de San Marcos at night, a rare treat. This in-depth 2 hour historic walking tour begins at the City Gates and focuses on the specific hauntings & legends associated with the area’s military history, Native American presence, sieges, battles, and raids that occurred on those grounds, and much more! Included in the tour are actual paranormal investigation equipment such as EMF meters, Spirit Boxes, and dowsing rods and more that you’ll get a chance to use. Tickets are $35 and go quickly!
For something suitable for all ages and fright levels, don’t miss the Sykes Family Farms Crop Maize and more. This family friendly event includes a corn maze, a chance for you to pick sunflowers, hayrides, playgrounds, races, and viewings of farm animals. The farm is open Fridays 6 -10 pm; Saturdays 10 am -10 pm; and Sundays 10 am – 5 pm. General admission is $19 Adults; $17 Military (with ID) & Senior Citizens (65+); Children 2 and under are free.
These are just a few of the many ghoulish and ghostly events taking place this October to get you in the Halloween mood.
