JaxCot: Jax Around the World
Glenn Layton Homes, one of the premiere custom home builders in Jacksonville FL, builds the kind of homes that make you want to settle in, relax, and never leave. Yet Jacksonville has a lot of great events and attractions to lure homeowners out of their heavenly hideaways. One such event is JaxCot, a chance to explore foods from around the world, as well as music, shopping, games, and much more.
JaxCot is the Jacksonville Epcot, where visitors enjoy flavors and entertainment from around the world. It takes place July 30, from 4-10 p.m., at 75 1st St N, Jacksonville. General admission is free to this event that is perfect for all ages. The main focus is the exploration of foods from around the world. But this isn’t your average food display. JaxCot will feature 40 food trucks, each representing a different country in the world, as well as different regions of the US.
Among the countries whose cuisines visitors are sure to enjoy are Mexico, Italy, Singapore, Cuba, India, Puerto Rico, Vietnam, Brazil, Peru, Israel, Dominican Republic, Germany, Ireland, Caribbean, Tanzania, France and Poland. As well as a number of All-American food trucks, the US will also have trucks representing Hawaii, Chicago, Oklahoma, Philadelphia, New York, California, and of course, Florida. Some of the trucks will also have vegan and gluten-free options so that everyone can enjoy the experience.
Special entertainment is on hand for the kids in the Kids Around the World Kids Zone. Entry is $10 per child, but free for adults and children under the age of three. In this Kid Zone, there’s unlimited use of the bounce house, plenty of fun games, laser tag duels, arts and crafts, basketball hoops, bouncy slides, as well as a chance at a rock climb. Pony rides and face painting will also be available for a small extra cost.
There’s entertainment for the adults, as well, with more than 30 craft and local vendors, as well as great music covering a range of styles, including R&B, reggae, jazz, country, and more. An ATM will be on site, but almost all of the vendors accept credit cards, as well, for added convenience.
This is one of the largest food truck festivals to hit Jacksonville. That makes it a great excuse to step foot out of the gorgeous properties that custom home builders in Jacksonville FL, like Glenn Layton, have built for you. Try some amazing food from around the world and get inspired to recreate some of the dishes in your own spectacular coastal kitchen.
