River Rock Church Is Coming to Nocatee

River Rock Church has been meeting at River Valley Academy for a decade now, and as more members join, a larger and dedicated church building is needed. Construction is now underway to create a permanent home in Nocatee. The finished church, expected to open in Spring 2026, will be located on Palm Valley Road, across from the Woodland Park at Nocatee neighborhood.

The construction of the new church building is the result of their Multiply Hope Campaign, which was launched in the Fall of 2021 to address the vision and future priorities of the church. Included in the campaign is their first physical church location, which will function as a worship and discipleship gathering space on Sundays and a ministry center throughout the week where they work to help those in need of Christ, as well as meeting the needs of their community. As well as the main heart of the church for the services, there will be versatile spaces for children’s ministries, youth programs, and a variety of community events, ensuring it serves as a hub for activity and connection.

Nocatee, one of the fastest-growing communities in Northeast Florida, is home to families, young professionals, and retirees seeking a close-knit, dynamic environment. River Rock Church has recognized the area’s tremendous potential for ministry and service. With its new facility, the church aims to create a welcoming space that fosters spiritual connection and meets the diverse needs of its members and neighbors.

Chris Price explains, “At River Rock Church, we are a come-as-you-are group of people, seeking to build great friendships and serve our community, while being firmly committed to discovering our true identity and calling in Jesus. With a focus on equipping every generation to become all God created us to be, we are excited to learn, serve, and live life with purpose.”

For now, River Rock Church continues to meet at Valley Ridge Academy every Sunday with Worship Services beginning at 9:30am and 11:00am.
